Oil Pressure Problem

When I start mymustang in the cold, the oil pressure doesn't go up for about 2 minutes. Does this mean it needs a new oil pump or could it be something else, and is there some way to test if it is the oil pump?

Are you using the factory gauge?

+1. If you are, get a real gauge (mechanical autometer). Check it with that before worrying about it. My stocker would go up and just sit on the H even when the car was hot.
