Default thicker head gaskets to lower compression?

If i had a stock 1989 doesnt it come stock with .043 thick head gaskets. I was looking at the Specialty Component Engineering .093 head gasket to lower my compression. What would be my compression with stock heads?

NO.

that messes with engine dynamics and will cause you all kinds of headaches.
Has to do with all kinds of technical engine combustion properties, like flame propagation and quench area.

not to mention intake manifold alignment, exhaust fitment.. etc

Been there done that, youll have to slightly enlarge the lower intake manifold mounting holes, and a smear of rtv around all patterns of the lower intake gasket.

Remove your exhaust from the headers, reposition and tighten back down.

Best way to lower your compression is go with with a short throw crank and matching rods. Be sure to get the appropriate cams as well (duration and lift). A slightly thicker gasket won't go far in chaging your compression ratio..like .1 or .2 maybe, if that.
