As an owner of both a fox and a Z32 300, I'll have to give you my experience. The 300 doesnt break as often, but when it does, its a lot harder to to diagnose and to DIY. The Fox does things the typical american made car does.......oil leaks, body problems, but is a ton easier to work on. Replaced the water pump on the fox recently, dont know if i would have tried it on the z.

Both are exellent cars, beautiful to look at and both very powerful. If you get the 300, get on 300zxclub.com, and they will direct you to many resources that can help you with any problems. Feel free to buzz me for further info.

Well I guess I will decide when the guy decides to sell it. He said It will go to highest bidder. He said he only paid 4500 for it too, which seems pretty cheap.... He also said it need new back tires and exhaust.

If its a TT then yeah thats dirt cheap. Ive got an NA and i paid 4500 for mine 2 years ago. If you want an NA i wouldnt pay over 4000 for one. Make sure you do3 things if you want the true Z experience.

1. Save your money and get a twin turbo.
2. 5 speed
3. Avoid getting a 1990, go 91 and up

On some of them - you have to pull the motor practically to replace a timing belt....

I'd like one with t-tops, late 80's OR early 90's......

There was a problem in 1990 with the heads on the Z32. (New engine, quirks with design) Its not all of em. Mine is a 90 and i havent had any problems, but i have heard tons of my friends in our local Z club that have. Go to 300zx club.com. There is a section that covers problems with the z. Check it out and be careful when you make a selection. If its a good TT, you may end up driving it more than your 5.0. LOL.

Dont get me wrong, I love my mustang. But if someone offered me a TT Z for it i'd trade with no hesitation. Just as much power with 3 times the handling and 4 times the looks.
