need to upgrade my braking
This may sound funny, but you know how if you forget to take the E brake off and back out of the drive, then go to take off forward it wont go....try and back in a see if the brake will hold better. They are designed to stop a car going forward
No I have not tried adjusting the brakes I had them "professionally" done by pepboys. they did close to no work on my car and charged me almost a grand.
I don't know much about brakes thats why I had them done in at pepboys but pepboys didn't fix my car at all.
Are there any guides or links that can show me how to adjust my e brake? If anyone knows of one and posts it, thanks in advance.
I am going to try bleading my brakes and take it from there. today some retard blew a stop sign pulled out in front of me and stopped in the middle of no where, the brakes really suck. "supposidly" pepboys blead the brakes and put new pads and shoes in. I doubt it, I am never having my car so called professionally worked on again.

As far as the rear brakes and adjusting for the e cable. If you jack the rear end of the car up and have it neutral. You should feel drag when you try to turn the rear wheels by hand. They should not keep spinning like the wheel of fortune board. If they do just keep spinning, if you lay down and look at the inside bottom of the wheels, you will see a rectangular shaped rubber grommet. This grommet can be removed and gives access to a toothed gear. With a brake spoon (possibly a small flat head screw driver will let you make the adjustment as well) you just slip it in the access hole and rotate the toothed gear in I believe a downward direction to tighten things up. Then just rotate the wheel by hand again until it starts to have drag on it. Then put the car back down and go inside and pull the ebrake all the way up, then let it back down, and then pull it up again like normal to see if it holds. The reason I say to pull the ebrake cable up, then let it back down is because I believe there is an adjustment in it similar to the stock clutch quadrant. But that might be totally wrong.
As far as pep boys, at least around here, that would not be a professional shop whatsoever. My advice would be to bleed the brakes if the pedal feels mushy. If you have a stiff pedal, bleeding the brakes is not necessary. Other than that, perhaps some recommended brake upgrades from http://www.sn95brakes.com/ might be in order. Good luck.
