Launching on Streets

RE: Launching on Streets
yeah i dont have much to help, but i was gonna go to the track with the car and motor in my sig but i just found a good deal on the corral. i just bought a set of 15x8 weld draglites/5.5 backspace, with m/t et streets 26x9 on them mounted with tubes and rims are screwed for 300 shipped across the us. so this will drastically change my traction issues.
just look around for a good deal or set of ponys with cheap slicks there were like 3 or 4 sets on the corral for 200-400.

RE: Launching on Streets
"32" psi is not always the best for a full contact patch, they have to account for loaded and unloaded use, as well as wet and dry weather. You dont want to run 18psi like on a drag tire, but you definietly dont want 32 psi in it either.

RE: Launching on Streets
Like I said, YOU have to experiment with it. I dump the clutch at 4000 in my car and it hooks like a ****, but thats with ET Streets and mine is set up for it. You just need to get out there and experiment with it. Every car is different.
Also, I STRONGLY suggest that you invest in subframe connectors before you get out there and start launching on slicks. You twist the crap outta that car without them.
