Default wheels

I've got 4 x 4 1/4 lugs on my 89 hatch and was wondering what you guys recommend as a rim for that size. Cause what i've found is a very small selection for the 4 lugs[X(]

I was thinking of going 15x8 in the front and 16x10 in the back. Will that fit on a stock car (the rears)? And what is a good backspacing number to live by for my stang considering i've still got
stock suspension and drums[:@] in the back.

thanks

dunno and answer for you, but heres something to think about

im not sure the size of my rear wheels, but they are pretty fat.

i bought the car like this, and i just noticed on thursday that the balencing(sp?) weights they use on my wheels have been smacking something, looks to be my suspention.

nothing is damaged other then the weight, but this is something to take into account.

im going this week to get them removed, and requesting they use motorcycle weights, the ones that stick to the inside of the wheel.

stick with the same rim size diameter all the way around either all 15 or all 16....you need to specify style you want.. ie... fatty in rear skinnies up front?? I have 15X8 in rear and 15X4 welds up front and it works well

i dont really care for having too skinny of a tire up front cause i mostly want my car to be a weekend street cruiser, not something that couldnt handle a turn. I'm definitly going for a wide tire in the back for the traction/look while cruisin the city streets though. What i've noticed is that the 4 x 4 1/4 lugs are expensive compared to the 5 lug and have a small selection so i was just wondering what i should look into. thx

You can get most of the popular 5lug wheels in 4lug also..the thing that sucks is you cant get take of wheels fromnewer year mustangs that are 5 lug. Most guys with foxes and aftermarket wheels run in the neighborhood of 17x8-17x9.5 wheels, unless you run a big and little setup. I run 17x8s upfront with 17x9.5s in the rear.

I've got 17x9 on mine with 235-45-17's. had to "adjust" the front fenders a little. Got them from wheelreplicas.com.

I know alot of people don't like imports...... But I know for a fact that our mustangs have a 4x108mm bolt pattern. There is a lot of designs out there for the metric bolt pattern. But I don't know how hard it would be to find rims with the right backspacing though. I have an escort that I bolted my turbines on to for a spare tire one time. And it is a 4x108mm pattern.
Hopefully this shine some light
