Default air hose inlet

ok
so i see that on bbk and other brand off road mid pipes that they still have an inlet for their air pipe
i bought my car with straight pipes and the air hose from the pump was just crimped shut
can just connect the air hose to 1 side of my exhaust or does it need to pick up from both?

Do you have cats on the car, if not than i wouldnt worry bout it depending on where you live and emission tests. Leave it crimped or take it off.

air will flow through it, i cut mine down (stock pipe) and stuck a bolt in it and welded the head so it got a seal.
