I had this guy at florida5.0.com make me a dash to hold the auto meter guages. he said that due to clearance i have to go with the electric speedo. he said i can tap into the VSS to run my speedo. i have pulled my mechanical speedo cable back through the firewall. If i no longer need the mechanical cable, what should i do to fill the hole it leaves in the tranny. or do i have to have the mech cable hooked up in order for the VSS to work? also where is the VSS

If you car doesn't have cruise, you don't have a VSS. If you do have cruise, the VSS is located on the tranny where there speedo cable goes on at....the speedo cable goes on the VSS. You can get a VSS, plug it in to your tranny, go to ford and buy a pigtail, and wire it from there.
