Default Flashing Headlights...

Im finally puttin a couple bucks into my stang, after it has sat the last two years without moving much. After going through everything, I have a problem that I cant find a solution for. After the headlights are on for about 15 minutes... they begin to flicker on and off.... Im sure this is not an unusual problem. Iwas just hopin someone out there knew what it is. Otherwise, Im not sure how much unnecessary work ill end up going through to figure it out.... Any input would be appreciated.

from what i hear, this is a fairly common problem

my first check would be the connector to the switch, just pull it out of the dash panel and push it all the way in

if not, someone else i believe posted a fix a couple weeks ago, you could try for that

It's usually the plug at the multifunction switch in the column. It controls the bright light, flash to pass and the turn signals. Pull the upper and lower cloumn covers off and look for melting wires.

This is what mine looked like..I just went to junk yard and cut me a new multifuntion harness.

This is caused by to much volts going through the multifuntions switch due to running the fog lights.

Then I re-wired the fog lights so they don't go throught the multifunction switch anymore.

I found where the fog lights are at in the fuse box under dash and then rewired it to a new circuit by its self..so now i can run my fog lights by there self.
