look at it from this point of view, you have a nice looking mustang that is stock... you might get dogged on alot LIKE ME

you have a mustang in reasonable shape, with completly built motor, you have one H*ll of a sleeper, and you can do the other stuff later.

And bragging rights on beating your bud..

just my .02
^^^ +1

Got for the sleeper look. That what I'm doing, keeping it as stock as possible with the exception of a paint job and rims, thats it.

and bragging rights never really hurt nobody.

Good luck with your car

the boss block is cast iron. id spend the money and get a custom grind cam,ive noticed that there doesnt really seem to be a whole lot of difference between a custom cam and a higher end off the shelf cam

for that motor i think you may want to step up the size of your headers, and as for intake theres a couple nice ones. could go with a trickflow Box intake, or i know of a friend of mine runnin the holly systemax that has a highly built motor spinnin up to 7500 and runnin 10s..

i wish my school would host a high school drag, but alas, my school doesnt even have an autoshop, weve tried, but the theatre people are bitches and wont give up the room that is SUPPOSED to be an autoshop.... and the principal said theyre were too busy dumping money into the arts to buy tools and such, it sucks

but if my car was running to the best of its abilty (it still isnt...) i would have one of the fastest cars in the school (not counting all the kids who got high end 150k bimmers cause their daddys are rich, but they dont know how to drive....)

its what i did with my 88, but my paint and body were pretty bad. i didnt care lol, i built up the motor and when people pulled up to it they thought oh, some old POS, i can smoke this easy, and then i'd leave them in the dust. i had the fastest car when i graduated from high school and that was how everyone knew me. no one knew the guys with the pretty but slow cars hahaha
