block casting question

Default block casting question

hey guys. first off the forum rocks. i have alot of questions but first off i bought a 1986 capri and was told it had a 94 cobra motor in it. well after tearing the motor out to rebuild it, it is not a cobra motor. my main question is on the block it has

yup!! a cobra block would of had a casting of F1.......

^^^^^^^^what I meant to say is in 91 the roller blocks changed casting numbers from E7 to F1......SO roller blocks after 91 have such a casting date..If you want I can take a pic of my 92 roller block and a spare 94 I recently purchased

that was it...that's all I was getting at with the post...cobra blocks are no different than a regular roller block just heads, cam and intake differences from a regular 5.0
