Cobra MAF question?
I have an 88 GT with a cobra MAF conversion. I recently purchased a C&L 76 mm MAF with a 24# sample tube. My question is Should I have gotten a 19# sample tube as I have just read that the PCM compensates for the 24# injectors? It seems to run worse with the new MAF. I put the stock MAF sensor from a 4.6L t-bird in my C&L housing and it is better, but not what it should be. I get an intake pop intermittantly and my part throttle power is not there. It is very jerkey until I open it up then it pulls like a freight train. Please help This is getting expensive.

Just some clarification for you on the Cobra MAF setup: The Cobras and GT's both use the same MAF, but the Cobra-specific computer is tuned to compensate for the larger injectors on the Cobra. The GT computer is tuned for the stock setup only, no compensation.
i have a 90LX. i put in 24# injectors, a 70mm TB, a 76mm MAF calibrated for 24# ers. No problems. runs great at all RPM.
my ECU is an A9L. it recalibrated itself.
you need a MAF calibrated for 24# injectors. If you got a C&L, i think they make different sample tubes that you can exchange.

Thanks guys. I have the 93 Cobra factory ecm. My maf has a 24# sample tube. From what I have read I believe that I want an A9L ecm. I want to be able to match my injectors to my maf if I do any more mods. The internal calibration of the cobra ecm is not desirable for someone who tries different combos.
