if you're wanting a nasty crate motor i say go with a 393 or a 408 stroker. those are NASTY while you may not get these kinds times from it a guy i work with at the dealership had his notch fox with a 408 in it and he ran 8s in the 1/4 it would literally stand on the back bumper if he launched it

a crate motor will run u 5000 then uhave to think about supporting the new power fuel,air,drivetrain, tranny upgrades,axles,tires...................

a decent rebuild with a set of gt40's,decent intake and cam and then turbo that bitch with 8-10 lbs and there u have a 500rwhp beast with good dd characteristics.i would of went this way if i had to do it all over again.

you could prolly save a little money and keep the stock cam and still make awesome power that drives just fine. thats what i want to do if i build another mustang

if the motor doent need a rebuild, then i'd say blow it on a turbo kit a 5.0 with a turbo makes awesome power

I vote for anything but a big block if youre building a street car. By the time you get it to hook youll have another 5,ooo in chassis and suspension mods.
