Do it. Don't do it. I don't care. I don't see any reason to invite trouble, but maybe I'm paranoid. I guess I see the difference as people here know what you have and this is their "hobby." Might be more enticing. Again, maybe I'm just paranoid.
Yeah... youre just paranoid.

My cars name (Phantim) is my plate. I think the guys on this forum are less of a threat than the gangsters I evict on a weeky basis

OP - Paint looks awesome for $450 dude. Wet sand and buff that biotch

I was planning on heading to maaco to get mine done in like a month after my head install, my friend got his truck painted black there like 3 years ago and it actually still looks great.

The op has convinced me to get a cheapy from maaco too....just to tide me over until I complete the restoration. Then I'll drop more cash on a better one. Not sure out going from white to silver/dark grey will look though.

IMO it looks good man. May have to think about Maaco instead of a primer job for my project. don't let the haters get ya down, we all have our budgets to live within, and you did great with yours.

Not too bad for the money and if your happy who really cares if others don't like it. I do body work and paint for a living and my cost for a gallon of PPG 2042 clear is $175.00, then reducer @ about $40 a gallon and the activator is $90 per quart. Mix ratio of 4:1:1. Thats $305 for everything to make the paint shine. Now you have to buy the basecoat and primer and sealer. It's not cheap to paint a car anymore.
