I bought my 88 gt and it had a snapped speedo cable...i replaced the cable and speed sensor..after getting everything put back together the speedo read fast...so i looked around and found out that i needed the red speedo gear instead of the yellow that was in it...i put the red gear in it and it still reads fast.. i am running 3.73 in the rear and have a T-5 tranny...any suggestions on why its still reading fast??

 

what year T-5 and what color is the gear INSIDE the tranny

 

i want to say that when my 3.73's went in they put a white gear in there , but i could be wrong.....my speedo is real close though.......

 

what size tires/wheels you running? how far off are you speed wise?

 

Tires are 26/9.5 and the rims are 15x8.
