hii...i bought a lx 5.0 mustang a while ago ...and it has nice cams spaosably ,ice exausts and a couple of other things...it will goo 125 km in 2nd gear....i dont know too too much about cars so ...the motor was always in a ugly condition....it said it had 247 000 km on the car...and i was in a parking lot going to pull out but i put it in neutal and revd it to about 3 or 4 grand and it should blew ...like my crank shaft cracked side ways snaped the timeing chain and cracked my motor right to the oil filter on the side....my temperature gauge in my car never worked and sometimes it would feel like its over heating....does neone know why this would happen...and would my cams still be good and wat else would be good?

Hard to tell untill you take it all apart and inspect everything for damage. But mostlikely from what you are saying the motor is prety much garbage, and the cam would be the last thing on my mind it it was good or not. It probaly blew cause of how much wear it all had on it.

yea i know i have my motor ready to take out i just havnt done it yet...i found a second hand one and talked the guy down to 350$ for it

and yeah i did beat the **** out of it...droping my clucth a 4 or 5 sometimes...but onluy to rip up the littlle rice burning around here

no offense but serves you right!! one thing I can never understand is why people continue to drive a car often times with for one an inpoerative temp gauge and some with inop oil gauges[&:]......do yourself a favor and fix the gauges they are your lifeline to saving a disaster ..most likely there was alot of clearance in the bearings and causing crank walk and eventually kaboom[:@]

I've found driving with stock ford gauges is like driving without gauges at all. My stock oil pressure gauge read half way even when I snapped the oil pump shaft. And with my last motor it read 70psi when cold at idle but the stock gauge was only a quarter of the way up.
