MJR, why in the hell would i spend thousands of dollars on an intake cam and supporting mods, and just reuse the E7's

AFR 165s

i dont see a reason to get them done professionally, as long as im careful and dont go too deep, and just match the gaskets i should be fine
Like I follow everyones mods in here and like I remember what everyone was using.....and oh btw...I have seen many spend alot of money on stroker builds only to top the cookie off with e7's....there are all types............

If you don't have an inside micrometer I wouldn't suggest doing it. If your going to do it get the right tools first.

what about with gt40 heads, would it be worth the $400.00 to get it done?

You might match the intake to the gasket if the ports are alot smaller. If they're close, it's not going to do much. My AFR 165's are so close to the felpro 1250 gasket that there's not really any need to port them more.
