carb help?
ok so far i have learned alot, thanks every one. here we go again, found out my pistons were cooked so i need to replace them. i plan on getting a BG blow thru and get some dish pistons. some say i need to dyno some say i can tune carb my self. any feed back? i'm trying to build it with dyno tuning[eventually], and kind of old school uner hood?? also i found some one local who can rebalance the assembly, he said it should be a rocket. remember it is only a weekend car, maybe 4 times a month, probally no track time.
supercharged. 6lb or 9lb i'm not sure yet. it might make good enough power without the blower. its not to hard to covert i heard. ofcourse i will be getting plenty of help from some stang friends. by the way it being a 331 all forged roller motor,h-beams,ported windsor sr heads, hpipe, nuetral balanced,1.6 roller rockers, msd, tfs stage ll cam, equal length shorties, elec. fan,big rad. not sure about intake, think a weiand xcellorater, BG 575 BT carb. with a bigger carb, dual plane intake it shuold make much more power than a stock 302 ho with 6lbs of boost right.
do yourself a favor and if building a boosted motor put some dished pistons to lower compression...in the long run you'll get more out of the combo safely with lower compression
