Default help, im stumped (clutch)

so last winter i put a stock clutch cable on, and ever since its been slipping, so i took it to a tranny shop and they told me i have the "wrong parts" on the car(that half moon thing the clutch cable attatches to and another part right next to it by the gas pedal) sorry idk what their called. so i took off the half moon part and its a bbk part so i doubt its the "wrong part".

my guess is since i put a stock clutch cable on i need a stock half moon thing and maybe my clutch will stop slipping?

and another thing is i need to get that long shaft thats connected to the clutch pedal out, but theres a part on it i cant figure out how to get off, its really loose but i need to pull the shaft towards the drivers side to get it out, but the part is on the passenger side stuck on the shaft and i cant get it off, it was right next the half moon thing. i tried hitting the shaft towards the drivers side hoping it would just pop off but its not moving so if anybody has any ideas let me know.

heres a picture of the half moon thing.

You need an adjustable cable or firewall adjuster and it will solve your problems.

If this suddenly happened after you swapped out the cable. Most likely you have the cable way too tight.

93 LX FiveO has pointed you in the right direction. The point of engagement should be off the carpet but way before the top. I think there is about 5 or 6 inches of travel. So half way is pretty good. If it is near the top, it's too tight.

The stock cable has no adjustment when the quadrant has been repalaced with a bbk. He need to get something to actually be able to adjust the cable. IE firewall adjuster or adjustable cable.
