head lights need cleaning

Post head lights need cleaning

my head lights have a yellowish tint and are foggy, is there any way to clean them? some one told me using tooth paste. is there a cleaner out there i can use?

one of two ways:
#1. == quickest, I get out my high speed buffer and rubbing compund and hit it good with that then go back with a fin cut cleaner and then a polish, all done with the high speed buffer, when done they will look good as new

#2, before doing number 1 step...wet sand it then buff, however if the right compounds are used in step 1 it often is not necessary to wet sand

wow, that sound like alot to just clean them. now you say the right compounds. what do you recomend to use so i don't have to got to step 2 or 1 if you really look at it?

1. Replace them
2. Do as mjr46 stated, yet this takes away the UV protection and there's a product out there that can reapply this protection or they slowly get yellow again....not sure what it's called.
3. Buy a four eye

if you have acess to auto clear you cna always wetsand and clear them


personally though if they are bad just buy a new set, and this time wax them every so often to ward off the suns effects

takes 5 min with a buffer and just get a course compound and a polish and be done with it!! and as for the UV BS BEEN 2 years since I did mine and still not yellow.......cheaper to buff them then it is to buy new ones!!

I agree try and clean 'em and if all else fails, buy new ones. At least ya tried right

I wet sanded them and sprayed them with rattle can clear before...that worked well. Also, wet sanding and buffing works really well too
