you figure with all bolt ons and a nice cam, throw on that intake you got, you'll prolly get about 225 to the wheels if not more. then throw on a 100 shot and you'd be at your goal for less money. and no it won't blow up your car as long as you hook it up right and don't go too big of a shot.
Eh, I really don't want nitrous. I don't want to have to turn on a bottle before I decide I want to hit the gas, and I don't want to have to constantly feed a bottle.

A supercharger is a thought, but..meh. A decent h/c/i should get me close to where I want, I just need to pick out the right parts and go for it..

Thats exactly what I said. I like superchargers, but I also like decently built street engines. Im building a 306, and am planning on strapping a low # s/c on later

My build -
-GT40's p+p, valve job
-Steeda 19
-p+p GT40 intake
-1.7 rrs

Ive got a set of Summit shorty headers that are supposed to be able to clear the GT40P's spark plug angle. If youre still looking to upgrade your exhaust on the cheap, look into Summit's name brand stuff... I use headers and H pipe, no complaints whatsoever

Put a vortech on it. My cobra puts down close to 400 rwhp with a nice vortech system.

Save yourself the time and hassel and just supercharge/turbo it the way it is. It would be more user friendly in the long run. Other wise you will be spending more time tuning and working out all the little bugs. This way you would achieve your goal and much more the easier way.

You don't see any issues with slapping a supercharger on a bone-stock 94 GT? That is, with a crappy exhaust, crappy heads, etc?

Aside from the fact that I destroyed a pressure plate some number of years ago while trying to be a jackass (I was halfway between neutral and first gear and it finally dropped into gear near the redline--not good) and did some minor damage to the transmission (I think)--it whines when I downshift into first--the car should be in good shape. It does have 116,200 miles, though.. It's been fairly granny-driven most of its life.

with your budget, of $2500, Id definetly supercharge it now.

HCI later, ,then youll have well over 400 ponies.

Shall something happen down the road, both items are easily shipped, retain 70 % of thier value used, and are in demand constantly.

Wise Investment.
