Need help with new engine installed problems
I just got my new engine put in, Trickflow street intake, Stage 2 cam, and trickflow twisted wedge heads.
So they start the car up and it wont idle, if u unplug the iac it will idle a little bit better but still doesnt seem right. First off it sounds and seems like there is a big vacuum leak, but no idea where it could be from. They checked the intake manifolds throttle body and stuff like that. Car does drive and i drove it to my dads shop and hes gonna look at it. I expected it to be faster then the stock engine but car seemed even slower with all these mods on it and stuff.
So my question is what do you guys think i should check and what could be wrong, i dont have the money to really have someone sit there and really take and in depth look at the whole thing, my cousin builds older racecars and he put the engine in but doesnt really do fuel injected stuff he does mostly carbs.
So could my problem be cause by wrong adjustment of the valves with the rockers? or do i need more fuel in there like bigger injectors and or fuel pump, also what could cause a big vacuum leak like that and could it possibly cause the car to be slower then stock even though all the top end is built up and shoud be around 350hp?? really need some help and somewhere to start...with this

did you change MAF sensor. i just put the top end kit in mine and changed to 24 injectors. did you take off the smog stuff? if so did you plug off all vaccum lines and such. WHat year is your car?

yea i just bought 30# injectors. I had them before and they were stolen outta the shop that i work at, also have 76mm mass air for the 30's as well. The smog pump is there but isnt hooked up and everything looks to be plugged up from my cousin. Could injectors and maf really cause this problem and make the car slower then stock with the hci??
