Default 31.3 mpg!

I have had my aim at getting 30+mpg on the hwy since I got my car early June. It was cold enough for me to finally do it Friday. Since it was cold, I didnt have to use the windows or ac to keep me at a good temp, also being colder helped with power I will have to assume. 75 mile trip on the highway at about 65-70 mph produced 31.3 mpg. I think I will easily be able to get more out if it. Now I have my sights at 35mpg. I havent done anything to the car yet, so after fixing a few more worn out parts as well as adding some gas saver mods like udps, rockers, behive springs, lighter pushrods (dont know if I can get lighter ones that are stronger though) and an electric fan. It shouldnt be too hard I would suppose.

nope! tko 600 is a 5 speed that is capable of holding a factory warrented 600 foot pounds of torque, the T56 is the 6 speed, And i was talking about getting 21 mpg BEFORE i blew up my aod, and did all the perforamnce modifications

Wow! 31mpg is impressive. When I was stock, the slushbox was lucky to get 24 on the highway and 15 in the city. Now I get a constant 12.5mpg, no matter how I drive.
