Default Alternator identification

i got a one wire alt. when i bought my car, the guy said it came with the motor he bought and put in the car, but he didnt install due to lack of knowledge. just wondering what numbers and were do i need to pull to find what kind it is, its a motorcraft and its big and heavy, any help would be great thanks guys

looked at it and can only find the number 3 on the back side, looked at the alt. bracket that came with the old motor and its been fabed for the alt to fit, is this a 3g or something

post a pic of it, most likely it's a truck alternator???

i still havnt got the connector to put pics from my camara to the computer but i found this pic and it looks just like it and i put on there were it has the number 3 and were it says moto is were it says motorcraft

it looks kinda like a 3g alt, hard to tell without seeing the fron't view

how can you be for sure, does the 3g not have the fan fins or does the truck alt. not have them as well
