Well I had a similar problem with my 83 after not having a motor in it for a couple of years. I dropped in a carbed 306 in place of the v6 that was there before. The tires are 195/70/14's in the front and 215/70/14's in the rear but even for the small wheels it is still high. So I took the cheap route and cut the springs. One guy told me my car looked like a demo derby car from the way it sat lol.

Ya it's sitting high, if you just installed the suspension it takes a couple of days to settle.
