so i know the FI 5.0s are claimed of getting rather good mpg highway but how bad is it with carbed...only wondering becuase i've found a nice 85 GT and i know 86 is the first year for FI. just wondering how bad the mileage would be. please dont tell me if i want good mileage to just buy a honda, give me a break im doing what i can to get by AND have a sweet V8 so just gimme some help please

 

you want mpg and a v-8, don't mod it to much and buy Fuel injection expecially if you don't know how to tune a carb

 

depending on how much I get on it during the week I get 17 -21 mpgs

 

im getting 9-12 in mine. ewww =[ kinda wish i had my 4 banger back

dunno...its a v-8 kinda modded so gas consumption aint a worry, if it was i'd buy a civic.

 

I get 12-14 usually with 2.73 gears and my c4. Thats with driving up and down the interstate to and from work cruising at 65+ so around 3 grand usually and I romp on it a many good times in between. Don't really care about consumption but I still try to get what I can out of it.
