Battery Reloc Kit
#11
Also as a side note, I capped mine off for a few days to see if it really did make a difference, and although mine isn't a metal sealed container (its just the moroso plastic battery box) my car smelled horrible inside even though my battery wasn't leaking. (and yes it was battery fumes not dirty car fumes, lol)

So I'm gonna drill a hole in the floor of the car for the vent tube then? Do most batt. boxes come with a hole already in them for a vent tube? Or is this purely a go to home depot and get a rubber hose, then get drill happy type deal. Should I worry about a gromet in the holes? Should I use a silicon sealer to prevent any type of water/dirt from entering the car?

for Cruisinred: The battery itself won't have a vent on it, it's the box that you put the battery IN that will have the vent hole.
As for all boxes having the vent hole, that i'm not sure. Mine came with it, your's may or may not. Therefore, mine actually came with the tubing in which i only needed to drill into the car and not the box itself. I would assume if you were to drill into the box that you would need some type of rubber fitting so that it seals properly in there, and some sealant. The rubber hose type is up to you, mine is clear, you can get w/e you want. If you want to seal your hose through the hole made in the car also up to you, but if you ever move it a slight bit, the hose will have to be adjusted as well which can cause the hose fitting to be misadjusted, not really likely though. It's really up to you whether you do or don't seal it lol.

Here is a picture of my box. Rubber hose for venting is right in the middle of the box, unfortunately you can't see the fitting its in where it meets at the box...

the vent tube out a little elbow they give you by where the cables go in and goes through a plastic tube they give also. you can run the vent where ever you want, and the give you gromets for the vent and the cables for what ever metal you need to run through. taylors kit anyway

If you want to spend the cash, get the Taylor kit (I have it). Kit is very nice, quality, etc. Downside is that its pricey. I think I got like 4 locknuts/washers instead of using their supplied stuff for the threaded rod on the underside of the trunk. LMK if you want some pictures.

i went with the summit kit and the plastic box is actually a pretty nice box ...IMO go with that kit its really nice and its comes with everything you need unless you go with a light weight battery and +1 ^^ it is important to vent if you stick with the stock battery even if it passes nhra spec
