I think if you run 14.4 w/ that car you're doin' good. I don't even know if they run 14.4 stock and none of the mods on that car are going to help it much. First thing is gears and a full exhaust, after that if you want to get serious it's basically heads/cam or a blower or both. Nitrous works well also, or depending how much you want you may want to go with a stroker.

ok i was thinking nice set of trick flows heads and a 4.11 or 4.10 rear right away with a bigger throttle body that my buddy got sitting off his 87 ... i figure that should take me closer to 13's ... but i was looking at teh 347 stroker kits they are reasonably priced i found them for 700.. and i know people who went into the 10's all motor with a 347

If you do the trickflow heads, throw a cam in there at the same time, 4.10 gears, run the GT40 intake, finish the exhaust if it wasn't already and get it dyno tuned, you would be lookin at 12's pretty easily with a sticky tire. Suspension mods are always good too.

yeah my buddy has a close set up with alittle more such as .30 bored block and little other stuff and ran 12.55 with stock clutch and no posi on p245 crappy street tires... lol now hes got slicks for the back and king cobra clutch set up in it.. i think he will go 11's .. but thats why i wanted to get a mustang cause 2g you got a 12's car if not lower... it cost me 550 alone for headers for my 93 z thats my daily driver

get a good cold air intake like k&n, if its a manual i would go with 3.73 rear especially if your thinking of a s/c down the road. get a short shifter and some drag radials for the rear. make sure you have strut tower brace and some subframe connectors to stiffin the car up. put an h-pipe on if doesn't have one too. do this and what onyx said you'll definately be in the low 13's maybe high 12's.
