i was running 10w30 valvoline zr-1 cause its saposed to be good for break in. after the motor was broken in i was planning to run the 10w30 amsoil. and i still plan on doing that.

whats a decent oil weight to use in a 331??? I don't care about brand whatsoever, but like weight and synthetic or mineral?? Thinner better or is thicker better or what? Ive been using 20w50 but everyone i ask say it's fine, sometimes i wonder...

i bought my 89 from a friend who always ran synthetic in it and i've always used synthetic. old car, NO oil leaks.

I run regular old Castroil (sp?) 10w30 brand always use a motorcraft filter on it

I was running the Valvoline 20-50 but have now went with the Shell Rotella T 15-40 same as I run in my powerstroke truck
