350 cuz i need the perches welded in to use springs instead of coil overs

Chromoly is stronger, lighter and more expensive. It has one big downfall. It's more brittle than mild steel. On a street car I rather have mild steel as it's more forginving to constant road use. In a drag car Chromoly is the way to go if you can. While wheels up launches are rough it's nothing compared to what a car goes through on a 500 mile trip down backroads through pot holes and washboard roads, Most failure form launches result in oil pan and header damage and not the K member.

ok then you pose another question... weld on spring perches, or go coil overs?
