331 stroker
Hey guys,
I've been in the middle of my 331 stroker build for about 2ish weeks now. I wanted to ask if there is anything I should be worried about, with regards to the extra horse power and torque? It's not a extreme 331 we didn't go extreme on the cam (don't know the exact part) and we're porting my stock heads. So, i'm assuming we won't make a HUGE gain in torque and horsepower. SHould i be worried about my tranny? or anything like that?
Also, On a totally different subject... do any of you have opinions on a good jack and jack stands? I'm moving out soon so i'm going to need my own stuff. I was reading a post about good tool sets so I think I got the hand tools covered
Thanks guys!

and dont buy a craftsman floor jack... I got one for christmas a few years back, the thing leaks fluid, rendering it almost useless

lol that's funny! that's why I was wanting to get a new one... my dad's old one looks... well.... to old! works great and it's a craftsman! maybe they just made things better in the old days?! lol ya do you know what ton I should get?... I was looking at 3 and 5 ton ones! lol I have no experience with purchasing jacks! it'll actually be my first one (bought by me anyways) thanks for the info!
Unless you want to sink 500-600 dollars in a nice Lincoln jack but something cheap. Stay away from the overpriced crap like OTC Stinger line and Omega. I use to buy real expensive floor jacks and I was constantly having to have them rebuilt. I started buying Cheap floor 3 ton Kobalt jacks from lowes. I think I was paying about 80 dollars for them and they got used day in and day out in my shop and on average the would last about 18 months. When they started leaking I gave them to the scap metal guy that cam by to pick up all my old brake rotors, heads and stuff. It was cheaper and better than to keep having my Lincolns rebuilt. I have in my shop at home a Kobalt that is 3 years old and still works like new, It gets the more than usual use here at home. I also have a Craftsman Aluminum race jack. I had this on my race trailer until it got sold but I use it all the time out in my shop. I heard some bad reveiws about it but mine has been flawless. I try not to do any real heavy lifting with it but I sure love how easy it is to move around.
