Failed Emissions
This past week I took the mustang through emissions and it failed bad.
The results were:
| HC(PPM) | CO(%) | NOx (PPM)
Limit: |60 | .32 | 700
Emissions:| 5516 | .45 | 417
Results: | Fail | Fail | Pass
The mechanic said that it was dumping pure fuel, which would probably explain why the cats were getting red. What should I check to try and fix this? I was thinking compressing testing and redoing the timing. I might just unregister the thing and wait till spring and swap in a 351. I got like 25 more days to make a decision on what to do but the thing is currently covered under a foot of snow.

check the fuel pressure and if it is dumping fuel in and getting cats red, you may have secondary issues now such as catalyst melt down and bad o/2's, run a koer test and see if any codes exist and when prob is solved make sure oil is changed
