I was curious. I once saw a pic of this really sweet like metallic candy apple red paint color, but then it had like a smoked look to it. Can you achieve this by spraying the red, and then adding a little black into the clear before spraying it to get that kind of smoked look?

 

No, dont ut black in the clear. IT was probaley a tri stage paint, they put down a red base coat, a transparent mid coat with whatever they used to give it the smoked look then cleared it.
