Thanks 302army, that is accually a little cheaper than what I have been looking at but I wonder what brands they use.
I look thru the yards here from time to time and if I do find something its gone before I get the money to get it. I am just pretty much buy everything new. Its all the little stuff that ads up like the release fork, its cover, dowel pins, etc.

the rates are very fair, but without a "core" you get charged a extra $250 for the transmissions.
as im sure you saw my thread, i got a broke T5 for FREE, so that right there is saving me $250 on this transmission.
promotion will also talk to you alot about your car, the way you drive, etc, and make sure you are picking the right parts for the car!
they will help you out, and give you a good deal, that much im sure.
im from the south so i really like the fact that they will sit on the phone with you, and talk to you about your car like your at a bar or something shootin' the breeze!
good luck.

I just spoke with them and the gear sets are all tremec oem and are the super alloy which was oem in the 300 ft lbs t-5 which is what I have (1352-208) and the rebuild kit, price difference is just on the brand of bearing used, I have used timken and torrington with no issues but everyone has different walks of life and stories to tell so I may be the guniea pig for you!!!
Mike, pm me the link to your race w/ the vette. The one that crashed

So how much did it all cost you with shipping Mike? It is about time you upgrade that tranny with that 347 of yours lol. I am surprised it didn't blow up on you long ago.
I have been throwing my ideas around for what I am gonna do and I may hold off on the whole 5 speed swap right now and just get another bell to get make mine drivable for now and get a 92ish cougar or a mark VII with the 5.0 and drop in my long block for a cruising car that the family can go around in and use the roller motor out of the that to drop in the stang. It will probably sit in the garage and get worked on here and there and there as I get the money.
Anyone ever seen the early 90's cougar with a manual tranny like the super coupes (same platform)?
