I've driven an eagle talon with a light weight aluminum flywheel and performance clutch, and it shutters. So I wouldn't call it a myth, the shutter is annoying as hell. It's only does it as the clutch engages.
Then it has other issues, cause I have 2 of them, one in my 66 and one in my 85 and no shudder on either, they both rev a lot quicker
