But yeah, I'm over 'em.

yes they are cool in their own right but like you said they make absolutely no torque with out the snail. and yes 181 to the wheels is good for a 1.3 but it must be worked pretty damn good.

Save the Wankel!

in every thread on the rx7club about this, 900 people say this same thing, but i would say less than 10% have even seen one up close let alone ridden in/ driven one. I was thinking about putting a v8 in my 86 rx-7 sport but then my girlfriends friend had my mustang and wanted to get rid of it for 600$ so i decided to stay rotary.

I think it would be pretty cool although worked 13B's wind up like little demons and part of me thinks it should be left as is. My passion before Mustangs was Z-cars, particularly 240Z's and my favourite, the '78 280Z. Lots of guys put 350's in them, they were called Scarabs. Quick as **** and with a proper suspension set up were incredible all around performers. It would be unique and fast so why the hell not? My '78 with shaved 240Z head, race cam, header and Thrush straight pipe surprised many a driver. The curb weight of a '78 was approximately 2800lbs if memory serves so a 350 crammed in one made it a monster. Even a bolt on motor like mine in your tiny RX7 would be deadly fast...and fun.
