Default stick or auto????

a stick as we all know is much more fun to drive but as far as a budget goes, which is going to be my best bet with a moderately modified car??? im knew to the 5.0 but i have heard that both the auto and manual trannys suck but i dont know how much truth is behind that. thanks

i would personally do the manual (i started of auto and then did a manual swap)
once you get a decent amount of power hci, nitrous, or some other power adder either one is likely to get destroyed. I had a shift kit in my auto, with very few other mods and my aod blew up! now im rocking a TKO600 and it was the best decision of my life!

depends on the type of driving youll be doing, the hp youll be making and the money you have to spend.

i hate driving stick and since my car was an auto to begin with it was a no brainer for me. on top of that, with the hp im making and the fact that my car is built for going fast in a straight line, i built an auto. nothing in my aod is stock tho. luckily i had a friend who built my tranny for next to nothing (about $300 plus parts). the tranny will hold about 750hp and i wouldnt trade my trans brake for anything.

if you like street fun a stick may be for you but if you want consistancy an auto would be in line for you
