Do you drive your 5.0 in the snow?

I drove a Mustang in the winter for several years, when it was my only car. It was fine with snow tires. No extra weight was ever used.
I tried it for awhile with the summer tires and it really sucked. Got stuck in my in-laws icey driveway and only an inch of snow. My brother in law had to use his Jeep to drag me out to the street.

Dig my new avatar?
And yeah, I've driving mine quite a bit in the snow this year. It's far from ideal, but people have been driving V8 rear drive american iron in the snow for the past 75 years or so and survived. gotta do what you gotta do, and if your only car is a mustang you'll make it work.

Never...it's seen rain less times than I've got fingers on one hand. I've had three foxes, my light titanium hatch was dropped 2" with 245/45 Goodyear F1's. I remember sitting at a light in neutral, then s-l-o-w-l-y releasing the clutch with no throttle. You know how roads aren't dead flat to allow water to flow to both curbs? The back end instantly pitched out to the right and ever so slowly slid down to the side of the road. I was stuck in 2 inches of snow.... Keep in mind that we get the dirtiest, wettest snow imaginable here not that dry powdery stuff that actually packs down into a crunch allowing traction. We get so much rain here that the roads are sloped to both sides from centre to an extreme degree. Couple that with snow that turns into wet ice the instant any weight is imposed upon it and you have a recipe for disaster. Throw a lowered 5.0 into the equation and the garage becomes the simple choice. From that day forward I decided my Mustangs would be precipitation free.
