i have an 8 lx 4-cylinder car that i have already swapped over to a v-8 but finally have (barley) enough money to finally uprgade the suspension pieces. can i simply order 5.0 struts (and shocks) and bolt them up directly to the factory spindles and such? also i could possibly be getting a 90 5.0 lx parts car (everythings there, my buddy just took out a deer and his front end wedensday night.) soon and if i was to swap out the suspension pieces from the 5.0 car what all would i need from the car? would i need to swap out brakes at this time too? thanks for the help!

 

4 cyl had smaller brakes on the front than the 5.0 ....so 5.0 struts would work but you'd need a spacer plate where the strut bolts on to the knuckle, been there done that. but I'd just wait and swap over 5.0 brakes and spindles from the donar car and leave the 4 cyl springs in if you plan to drag race at all and the only other thing I can think of are the 4cyl has smaller sway bar up front and none in the rear, also 4 cyl has smaller single trac 7.5 rear, you'd want the 5.0 8.8 rear from the donar!!
