Wiggle Test?

Wiggle Test?
Took my car to the shop today. It has been having trouble idling in the morning and the car hunted at idle. The KOER showed 12,41 and 91 codes. I put an EGR and IAC valve on the car and only the 12 code went away. I was just about to put some 02 sensors on it and decided to put in the shop. The guy told me he ran a wiggle test. It showed 2 vacuum leaks (which i thought I checked ever hose on the car with carb cleaner) and some of my sensors were not getting a good connection. The test also told that my compression was equal among all cylinders. After all this he charges me 20 bucks. I checked the codes and they were all gone. I felt really small at this time. So does anyone know how to run this test?
Wait a minute, I see it in my book. That threw me for a loop.

a wiggle test is watch all data pids while wiggling / lightly tugging on the harness and connectors andlooking for a PID to drop out or flatline...wiggle tests do not verify or find compression....and if he bumpped a loose vaccum line I suppose he could of found a vac leak or two in the process, but that is not the main intent or purpose of the wiggle test

I haven't looked it over to find them yet. I just stuck the tester on it during the test drive. He said that one of them is a special hose that is one size on side and another size on the other, if that helps. (I can't remember the sizes he told me)
