Default Motor Oil

I am getting a lot of different recommendations on which motor oil too use. I couldn’t think of a better place that here to find out what would be best. Thanks in advance

I believe any oil on the market is fine but I use NAPA brand oil which is valvoline.

I use Mobil1 in everything but any synthetic oil is great. I only use conventional oil for engine break-in. I'm old enough and I've torn enough engines down to see the advantage of synthetic oil

once you use synthetic oil, you are married to it. You can't go back to using Chevron or any other conventional oil. It gets expensive too. Me personally, I am not going to leave any kind of oil in my motor for 10,000 miles.

If it is an everyday driver without a blower, I wouldn't use Mobil 1. When I put the blower on my car, Mobil 1 is all I will ever use from now on.

My dads v-6 mustang has close to a half a million on the odometer and never has seen anything but, Havoline. I think he uses Chevron now. He changes his oil every 2000 miles and doesn't add oil between changes.

Oil does break down, keep it fresh.
