Default hammer

Hey guys,
I ordered a B&M hammer shifter awhile ago for my car (aode) and I heard that to truly be able to have control over the gears I would have install a manual valve body as well. Is this true?

ok.... but it will work like the stock shifter just the "hammer" type of action? and also, the manual valve body.... hard to install? (i'm intuitive but not overally knowledgable)
sorry i know what is "hard" completely opinion

its not really hard to do a manual valve body. its less then enjoyable if the tranny is in the car at the tie.

yes the shifter will still have the hammer action but it wont do anything for your shifts.
