Default Adding value to my 5.0

I was wondering if doing a tranny swap from AOD to a T-5 would add more value to the car if i sell it down the road? What other upgrades add value in the long run?

In most cases yes it will add value but sometimes someone is looking for an automatic. If I was selling one I had much rather have a stick as it can bring the value up 1000 dollars to the average seller. Documentation of the vehicle increases value if it's a highly modified car and service records show the car has been well maintained. By far the biggest things are that the car is clean, tires are in nice shape and the paint is shiny. The engine bay should be clean, neat and uncluttered by three miles of extra wires just laying all over the place. Plug wires should be neatly routed and battery looked well maintained. There needs to be a spare, jack and lugwrench in the trunk in the right place and secured. It needs to have a nice sounding exhaust thats not to loud and has a little rumble. Basicly a detailed car that isn't overdone brings much more profit than an overly modified or trashly looking ride.

Being that your Fox has over 200k on the clock...go ahead and swap for a T-5!

If you Fox was a low milage AOD (10-30k miles) I would leave it stock...Stock Fox's in excellent shape bring in some good $$$

It wont add value to the point that you would recoupe your money for swaping it or time value.

5 speeds tend to sell quicker, autos less so...they still both fetch arround the same price. The 5 speed tends to be more desirable however.

+1 to the not too loud comment.

I KNOW that having a 5-spd will increase the value of your car.

At least in my area it will, I see AOD's on craigslist for months at a time and sometimes they never sell...

^^exactly .. it will not necessarily raise the value of the vehicle , it will just make it alot easier to sell....

Unless you put a built AOD in it. I'd much rather have a built auto versus a T-5 any day.
