well got some work done today. i had to run to the store and buy some bolts and other various things like new vac lines cuz my old ones were crap and spark plugs. we got the cam in, new timing chain on, timing cover/water pump on, the heads on, rockers mounted, and headers bolted up. i just need to get the explorer lower drilled and tapped for the ACT sensor. my buddy's father is a machinist and hes got what i need. so we will be doing that tomorrow. but prob not much else. hopefully friday we can get her buttoned up.

oh and i have been painting some of the things so they dont look as sh!tty; like the upper and lower intake aluminum color, and the valve covers black. i also got a strut tower brace for $20 and im gonna paint it black cuz its all scraped up and red... lol

here are a few pics

i got the good head gaskets not the cheapo's

oh and on the lx we re converted it to mass air. the guy before ripped it out for some reason.. lol but we didnt get much else done cuz we lost the cam bolt lol..

Nice work... looks like it's coming along well. That's a sharp looking car! With the exception of the stock 302 and the shot of nitrous, we have the same exact mods, haha. I'm piecing together an engine rebuild for my '94, only mine will be a 306. Slightly different manufacturers in some cases, but same mods in general You should definitely be able to get into the 12's... might need some DR's soon though.
