Hello all,

I will be getting my stang painted in the next couple-three weeks and am trying to order all my supplies. Any idea on how many quarts of paint I'll need and clearcoat? I want this thing to have some shine and depth, so I want to make sure I get enough. Ballpark figure will do, unless greater info is available. thanks!

gallon of base fallon of clear, esp if you painting all the jambs


if its a vert you can get a quart less

I used 1 gal and two qts on my base and a gallon of clear on my Notchback when I sprayed it. I did a complete color change which involved under side of fiberglass hood, door jams and underside of trunk including jams there also. Depending on the color and how well it covers will be the deciding factor into how much material is needed. Go to www.tcpglobal.com Best prices on the market and that is some pretty good quality paint. I used it to paint my car.

I also used 5 quarts or base and just over one gallon of clear for a completed color change. If you don't do the jambs and under hood, you could probably do it in a gallon or less of base.
