im building an engine for my mustang that i will be bracket racing in a few classes next year, i want to build the 347 for more ci but ive heard that its not dependable to build the 331?
That old myth about 347's not being reliable is old news and just a myth. Hundreds of people have proven that theory. Build the 347, the extra stroke will help with torque numbers plus if they are assembled with the right pieces, it's not uncommon for them to make 500hp at the crank all day long
if built right the 347 will rev just as easy as a 331. i was shifting mine at 6500 with no problems and thats not even revving it as hard as some people do
