Never discount the power an LS platform can make. One of the best engines to hit the market in some time. My next door neighbor has a 01 Camaro with a LS1, auto with a set of ported stock heads, nice cam and Fast Intake and is almost in the 10's on Drag radials. He just put a Mosier 12 bolt in it. 11.19's last time out. It's a very street worthy car.

a fordstroker.com 347 kit or a short block<$1800 in most cases

a set a fast as cast tfs heads or canfield's

vic jr, pro systems carb, custom cam,and 1 3/4 headers you can drive it anywhere and spank quite a few ls1 platforms.
