engine died while driving, help!
i took the stang out this past weekend and everything was going great until 30 min in to my drive when with out warning the engine just shut off. there were no indicators or anything it just shut off. i pulled over and checked the usual (distributor, wire connections, mas air meter, throttle body, fuel pressure and level, i even pulled a plug and more) everything looked fine. i started it up and it was idling fine. so i continued down the road and at 300 yards it died again so i bumped the idle screw up just a hair for s. and grins and started the car to find the idle wouldn't go below 2500 rpm unless i kept my foot on the break and let the clutch out till the rpm's hit 1000 and put it back in neutral then it would idle there for a while then go back up to 2500 after driving a while. i know i didnt move the idle screw that much, i turned it maby an 1/8 of a turn. i think its either the idle air controler or the throtle body sensor. just looking for some advice. and sorry for the long post but figured it would help to be detailed.
when my car died randomly my tfi went bad. the one on my old 88 just died and wouldnt start.... period and my sn began to stall while in gear, and come back to life while coasting. lol
i'm not sure about the high idle though, that may be something else
