The problem I am having is that my 5.0 is one of a couple of muscle cars in my school and many teenagers my age own srt-4's and there is only one 04 svt cobra. Now I'm seeking advice on what bolt-ons can I upgrade my 5.0 with so that FORD doesn't become the slowest known make in that school. I run against nissans,honda,toyotas,camaros,and of course dodge. The svt cobra is just for show it never runs lyke my vert does and my 5.0 never backs down from a challange!! So i would lyke to give it a little more power to stand more of a chance againt the camaros.

hahah funny!!! Well in my school if you dont run then yoyr condidered a weeny and my 5.0 can handle the abuse I give ot once in a while. What kind of bolt-ons can i use to improve the Hp on torque?..

 

atleast take it to the track, trust me I had my 5.0 in high school and never took the bait, not worth it, I lost a few friends that street raced

 

do you have anything done to it? buy some gears, headers, O/R H pipe, cold air intake, bump the timing, run 93 octane, do a tune up, nitrous? haha do all that stuff and itll be a pretty quick car

If you are afraid of being called a weeny you are already there. Learn to be a man and stand up for yourself. Many of my friends died of drug overdoses when I was in school. LSD was a big thing. Peir pressure got them killed because they didn't want to be called "Chicken". I really didn't care what I got called because I never fell into that trap. I street raced but I did it for money and not because I was pressured into it. It was out in the middle of nowhere where it was just the two drivers and maybe a deer who was in danger. Be your own man, build your car and go to the dragstrip. You will never be the fastest, there will always be someone faster, quicker and can drive better. The faster you come to terms with that fact the better off you will be. If you fail the challange of just being called a name you are in trouble. Life is Tough, it's even tougher when your stupid.

 

I never did like kids whos parents bought their cars for them like srt's and cobras. But still street racing, especially in high school, is stupid. I can't say I don't do it going down the highway from time to time but hey you can call me an idiot if you want. Just look up all the tech articles and study up on your car.
