no spark on coil

i tried firing my car up and theres no spark to my ignition coil. I went and purchased a MSD one and still no spark...what do you think is the problem?

sounds like a bad ign box. do you get 1 spark at all? i remember when i built my 83 my box went bad and i got one spark when i started turning it over then nothing
